Terrific value, especially at this price! This southern French red wine from the heart of the Rhone Valley is made by the Perrin family, which also produces the coveted Chateau Beaucastel and farm organically. Smoky, dark, rich and full-bodied, this is a superb wine for anyone who wants a drier style of Syrah (Shiraz). Pair with grilled meats or a pepper steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ruby red and lush with aromatics of red fruit, baking spice, and anise. Medium plus bodied, medium plus tannins, with ripe red fruit, anise and a hint of cinnamon on the palate. Paired well with bbq lamb sausages. Tasted 2016 vintage in Oct 2018 after 1h decant. 89 points
