From the Coonawarra wine region, Penley Phoenix 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is so aromatic with blueberry, blackberry, earthy and minty aromas. On the palate, this wine is medium-bodied with medium-acidity and a mouthful of dark plum, savoury herb, red cherry and black pepper flavours finishing on a mineral note. Tannins are structured. Pour with grilled meats. Drink or hold.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: prime rib roast, grilled game sausages, meaty stews, meat-lover's pizza.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
