Such a lovely New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with tropical and citrus flavours rather than the grassy, herbal ones. Fresh with racy acidity for shellfish and seafood. Medium-bodied with no oak. Clean and crisp.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Nobilo's Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a terrific value priced wine that I highly recommend. As the number one selling Sauvignon Blanc in the USA, it's clearly loved by many and I can see why. This Sauvignon Blanc delivers fresh and palate cleansing layers of exotic and tropical fruits, grassy notes, and orchard blossoms, making it a real hit with any crowd. Sweet stone fruit, refreshing pineapple, passion fruit, lemon-lime, mineral and sweet herbal notes on the nose. The palate is refreshing with juicy acidity, tangy exotic fruit, and minerality on the clean finish. Enjoy pre-dinner as an aperitif and continue throughout your meal when enjoying a wide range of dishes including Thai, Indian, Asian-fusion, fish tacos, lemon-chicken, or summer salads. At this price, this wine offers exceptional value making it a must try! Tasted May 2018. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Very floral on the nose with orange blossom and white flower aromas as well as honeydew, lime, and mineral notes.

It is crisp and tart. The palate follows the nose with honeydew and lemon flavours as well as mineral notes and white pepper at the finish.

Pair with fish or salty appetizers.

Tasted at the Pure Discovery New Zealand Wine event in Ottawa May 2019.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Excellent value! Soft grass, melon, light tropical perfume consisting of guava and green mangoes. Pronounced pink grapefruit and pomelo citrus notes also present with a hint of thyme and clay driven concrete-esque touches in the background. Flavours feature underripe green apples, lemon-lime spritzer and freshly picked zesty gooseberries. Mouthwatering, crisp and tropical fruit come alive here. Pair with chevre topped greens and shrimp ceviche. 88 points - tasted May 6, 2018
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This wine consistently delivers year after year and the 2017 vintage is no exception. This year's version shows a lot of those typical grassy and herbaceous notes, along with gooseberry and lime zest. Bright and racy acidity is mouthwatering and really wakes up the palate, Lots of lime, green apple, and fresh green herbs on the palate. Zesty and vibrant, enjoy as an apperitif, or with fresh summer dishes.
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

I attended the Pure Discovery 2019 event featuring wines from New Zealand. At the Ottawa event May 9, 2019 I focused on New Zealand’s whites, which included mainly Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

I tried Regional Collection Sauvignon Blanc from Nobilo. Another fresh and crisp Sauvignon Blanc with aromas and flavours of tropical fruits, pineapple being the main aroma and flavour. 12.3% alcohol.
