Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Dense and refined, the Muriel Reserva 2013, from the Rioja region of Spain, offers great aromas of cherry, fig, strawberry sauce, black pepper, dried leave, pastrami, cinnamon and tobacco. Made from 100% Tempranillo, this Spaniard provides a medium body with a seductive finish. Palate, sour cherry, raisin, black pepper, earthy note, cocoa and oak. Enjoy!
Muriel's Fincas De La Villa 2013 is a full-bodied, 100% Tempranillo Reserva from the Rioja Wine Region. This wine is deep and dark with earthy blue florals and leather on the nose, mature with earthy flavours, underbrush spice, savoury herbs, meaty balsamic notes on the palate. Muriel ages their Reserve wines for two years in American and French oak, a year more than required by wine law. Decant one hour and enjoy now with a roast duck or a roast leg of pork and all the trimmings. - Community Wine Reviews
