The 2015 vintage of this Montes Alpha is a vibrant Chilean Pinot Noir from the Casablanca Valley, Aconcagua Coast wine region. This is a full-bodied, juicy pinot noir with fleshy ripe cherry and berry aromas. Montes is a flagship producer for Chile, and their wines are always incredibly well priced, superb quality and taste. Its juicy and generous but balanced with some terrific acidity for planked salmon or roast chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: planked salmon, roast chicken, pork tenderloin, pizza, beef.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This garnet coloured Chilean Pinot Noir has aromas of ripe strawberries and sour cherries along with floral and earthy notes, and a hint of white pepper.

On the palate, there are ripe strawberry, raspberry, and sour cherry flavours with a touch of espresso. It is easy to drink, has beautiful tartness, and silky tannins. Yum!
