Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

100% Shiraz from Australia’s Mclaren Vale region. Aged 18 months in used French oak 10% of it new.

Deep inky ruby colour with an ever evolving layered bouquet: cherry, plum, strawberry, blackcurrant, vanilla, black pepper, tobacco, anise, licorice, toffee, coconut, sweet chocolate, vanilla and coffee. So much going on! Flavours echo much of these aromas with the addition of cooked fruit, black cherry, leather, fruit cake and some resinous oak with heat on the finish. Medium mouth watering acidity, with a full body and firm tannins accompanied with a long, dry finish.

Rich and round. Pair with beef brisket, pulled pork or barbecued ribs. 92 points
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Jan 5. 2018. Colour dark ruby red. Legs thick but runny. Aromas and flavours of, blueberry, plum, and milk chocolate. Taste dry, fruity, medium plus mouthfeel, soft tannin, medium acid, and medium alcohol. Finish short, most of the flavour up front very little in the back. Try this wine with beef stews and rich tasting meats.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
