Meaty, juicy and savoury with aromas of plush plums and want-to-squeeze-them fleshy dark blackberries. This full-bodied, supple Shiraz delivers some kind of wonderful for your senses.

Shiraz food pairings: hamburgers, sloppy joes.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Black cherry and blackberry compote seem to be crossing to Rubicon to more red briar fruit. Great acid, better than the 2007 in my opinion, more like a ripe Northern Rhône than a dense jambomb. Vanillin really comes in like a thief in the night on the finish, not overdone. Mouthwatering… I'm 91 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I just love a Shiraz from the McLaren Vale region of Australia and this was is rich and full bodied. Deep garnet color in the glass combined with flavours of plums and blackberries. I also detected a hint of mocha brought to a great finish with smooth oak ageing.
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby in colour, with flavours of black currant, black cherry, coffee, chocolate, baked strawberry, licorice, juniper, cloves, black pepper, black olives, with savoury notes of potting soil and fallen leaves. Soft tannins, refreshing acidity with medium plus body, the flavours linger on the supple, warming finish typical of McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Enjoy on its own, or pair with beef or lamb sliders, ribs, or strong cheeses.
Drink now, or keep until 2015.
Date tasted: June 2015.
