A beautiful expression of California Pinot Noir. Dark cherry, nutmeg, and hints of floral notes, that carry through with lingering vanilla and cherry flavours. Lovely!
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Meiomi's 2014 Pinot Noir is a blend of Pinot Noir from three beautiful wine regions along the California coast: Monterey County (48%), Sonoma County (27%), and Sanata Barbara County (25%). Each lot was individually fermented and aged in 100% French oak, 60% new, to add additional texture whilst preserving the elegant and complex fruit characteristics. Blended to achieve the greatest complexity, the result is a very expressive, dry, and flavourful medium-full bodied Pinot Noir. The nose shows dried cranberry, black cherry, cedar, and a slight earthiness. The palate is loaded with sweet dark fruit, black cherry, dried cranberry, mocha, baking spices, and kirsch. Big and bold, this creamy-smooth Pinot is the finest vintage of Meiomi I recall tasting. They've struck a beautiful balance in this vintage. Very impressed. Enjoy with braised lamb, roasted pork with fruit chutney, or one of my favourites - Thanksgiving Turkey dinner with sweet cranberry sauce. Tasted September 2015. 91 points. Meiomi Pinot Noir 2014 is a must try wine for pinot lovers – simply delicious! Aromas and flavours of cherry, raspberry, blackberry and spice. Tasted on December 11, 2015 (91/100)
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lush black cherry and floral aromas. The palate is a nice blend of black cherry, blackberry, vanilla and earth flavors. Soft tannins give it a smooth finish.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2014 vintage of Meiomi Pinot Noir is Monterey County 48%, Sonoma County 27%, Santa Barbara County 25%. A fruit-forward concentrated red berry Pinot with intensely aromatic spiciness with cinnamon, clove and a hint of vanilla. This wine is heavy on the fruit, with medium acidity, medium - tannins, well-integrated at it's youthful place and ready to enjoy now. Enjoy on it's own or with sweet BBQ, sweet and spicy sauced braised meats.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A lovely representation of a California Pinot, blackberry and dark cherry on the nose with a hint of vanilla and well balanced fruit on the palate.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Plush California Pinot noir. Blackberry and dark cherry aromas with tinges of violet and vanilla. A touch of sweetness, with cherry, vanilla, toffee, and a touch of smokiness. Would pair it with a goats cheese pizza.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a good wine to spring on someone, if you are trying to interest them in Pinot Noir in spite of their obstinance. This wine is so plump and juicy, it is hedonic joy for red drinkers.
It has a deep, pure ruby red to it. Such high alcohol for a Pinot Noir means it really coats the glass a lot. The fruit on the nose are quite soft - lots of cherry, mulberry, stewed strawberry. This Pinot is for the crowd who want maximum fruit and oomph.
On the palate, it has lots of the red fruit returning. Lots of cherry jam, strawberry, cassis, and mulberry. There is some vanilla and a slight whiff of oak, but this is one of those rare moments when the fruit of a Pinot just completely dominate any oak aging notes.

Meiomi was begun by the famed Wagner family, who also created the popular Caymus brand. Meiomi has been so successful in production, it caught the eye of Constellation Brands - the juggernaut marketing engine of the global alcohol industry. This eight year old wine brand was sold by the Wagner family for a stunning 315 million dollars!
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Smooth and lovely, this is a flavourful and plush Pinot blended from three counties in California - Monterey (48%), Sonoma (27%), and Santa Barbara (25%). Aromas are very ripe, almost like strawberry and blackberry jam, vanilla, and a bit of an earthy undertone. On the palate it is medium bodied and very fruit forward, any earthy notes take a back seat. Very smooth, tannins are smooth and the finish is medium to long. Enjoy with ribs or pork tenderloin grilled on the BBQ. (April 2016)
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This Pinot is very berry fruit forward and not much else. Aromas include: raspberry jam, strawberries and candied cherry. A touch of smoke and baking spice becomes present as it changes slightly in the glass. This wine not more impressive on the palate. The fruit flavours are so pronounced that it more resembles a craberry cocktail drink than wine itself. Acidity is lacking and out of balance. This wine medium bodied with a medium long finish.
