Love the lime zest and minerality in this lovely Niagara Riesling. Pair it with fresh seafood and peering at your image in a reflecting pool. Riesling is a grape that reflects the terroir and place where it's cultivated, thus the wine's name and mirror image on the label.

Riesling food pairings: roast chicken, spicy pasta dishes, shrimp tempura, grilled salmon.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A well structured Ontario Riesling with mouthwatering acidity and layered fruit. Showing a medium-long finish with persistence of canned mandarin orange, orange zest, orange blossom and minerality. This wine reflects the terroir and is aptly named narcissist. Beautiful on its own or paired with fried fish, or pan fried chicken schnitzel. Tasted 2016 vintage in April 2018. 90 points
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely and balanced flavours, acidity, and body! Aromas of peach, orange blossom and lime with stony minerality. Medium bodied, with bright zippy acid, lots of zesty lime and some more rounded peach and mandarin flavours on the palate that really is harmonious. Medium to long finish and overall so refreshing and enjoyable. Try this with oysters, shrimp, or to whet the appetite before dinner.
Megalomaniac Narcissist (2016) is a Riesling from the Niagara Peninsula wine region in Ontario. John Howard Cellars of Distinction has ownership of the winery and this incredibly zesty, lime and mineral Niagara Riesling. John Howard is the owner of the winery and had originally planned to market the wines under his own name. How the winery got its name? One of John Howard's friends called him "just another megalomaniac" and so the winery name. The winery sits on a 96-acre site on what some say is the highest spot on the Niagara Escarpment. - Community Wine Reviews
