Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Sweet and savoury, big bold sweet dark fruit compote, mint, tar, espresso, herbs, it's full bodied, luscious, layered, with tart dark berries, black tea, leather, and cedar on a long refreshing finish. This large format (magnum) would make a stellar wine for a special (extended) family meal. Tasted November 2015. 92+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Full-on, mouth-watering, rich Italian Amarone with black cherry. Uses the Appassimento method that the winery first developed in the XX1 century to achieve greater concentration of flavour. Costa means slopes and a sera means westward as the vines are planted in a way that benefit from the reflections of light and mild climate of Lake Garda. They are planted with the indigenous Veronese grape variety, Seleta. This is the magnum size format, equivalent to two regular sized bottles. - Community Wine Reviews
