Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Robust, savoury and smoky!! Aromas of blackberries, smoky spice and leather and a hint of dill. Full bodied on the palate with bright acidity and young, firm tannins. Lots of dark fruit notes, leather and peppery spice on the finish. Enjoy with charcoal-grilled steak.
From the Rioja wine region, Marqués de Cáceres Fiuza Eminente 2011 Gran Reserva Tempranillo is the classic savoury Rioja red with meaty, smoky and earthy aromas on the nose, full-bodied and mouth-watering with ripe dark plum, tanned leather, dried tobacco leaf, black pepper, anise and dark spice flavours on the palate. Pair with a slow-roasted leg of pork. - Community Wine Reviews
