Natalie's Score: 91/100

Traditional, classic and savoury Spanish red wine, with aromas of leather, dried herbs and red earth dust. Smoky and earthy, not fruit-forward. This Spanish red wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano grapes. The wine was aged for more than 2 years in French oak barrels and then in the bottle before release from the winery. Lots of black pepper, anise and dark spice. This robust Spanish red wine finishes with clove, dark spice and vanilla smoke. Pair with rack of lamb. Great food wine. Decant for 1 hour. Full-bodied, smooth and mouth-watering.

Tempranillo food pairings: herbed steaks, Portobello mushroom, chili, soup, Papas con chorizo.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Alluring and complex. Lovely mint, eucalyptus, tobacco, plum, chocolate notes dominate the aromas and flavours. Tannins are high and developing, acidity is juicy and integrated and finish is long and flavourful showing prominent anise and tabaco leaf notes. Enjoy with rare beef tenderloin medallions. Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine won't knock you out of your lawnchair with power, but has all the elements one might wish for in a Spanish red. Oak aromas over cherry/berry fruits. Perfect replay at a relaxed power level. Already displays all the smoothness Spain is so popular for.
This smoky, leathery and meaty Spanish red wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Graciano grapes. The wine was aged for more than 2 years in French oak barrels and then in the bottle before release form the winery. Lots of black pepper, anise and dark spice. Pair with a rosemary and garlic rubbed rack of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
