Reviews and Ratings

Basia rated this wine as 90/100
Julia Kelada rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

On the nose this is a sweet nuanced wine. Burst of sweet cherries, amazing cooked plums, dried raisins, blueberry jam.

On the palate, delicious cooked plums, strawberries, delicate mix of dried black berries. A leather, mocha note. Spice of nutmeg and cloves. Medium tannins, good finish to this dry wine.

A great all rounder of a wine and good just as is!
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Nose offers an aroma of Welch's grape jelly. The palate offers ripe raspberry and blueberry flavors with some spice on the dry finish.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A deep, rich coloured ruby. Aromas include blueberry, tart cherry, spicy pepper, and a bit of smoke. Flavours on the palate include jammy fruit (blueberry again), nutmeg and a bit of leather. Medium tannin. Great wine for the price!
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Oct 5, 2014: Deep ruby/purple, sweet plummy fruit on the nose with a floral note and some baking spice. Ripe red/blue fruit with a slight grapey hint. Soft and silky on the palate with nice acidity and gentle tannins. Not overly complex, but very drinkable and a geat value wine for pizza night.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Black plum, cherry and mint aromas with a hint of toasted sesame seeds. Palate is fruity and juicy. Great pick to have on hand when you don't want to open one of the "good bottles"
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Vanilla, blueberry preserve, cola, and white pepper on the nose. Medium length blueberry jam finish with with ample yet well integrated tannins that coat the mouth. This wine would pair well with tangy bbq dishes. Tasted October 2014. 86 points. Matt Steeves @QuercusVino
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Ripe plums, raisin, with a little mint. The taste is plum and dark cherry, and quite rich and smooth. A gret wine for stews.
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Typical Malbec aromas of bret.
A simple bbq wine that will please the crowd.
