A refreshing Pinot Grigio, with lemon-lime zest, fresh pear and baking spice flavours layered and long on the finish. Chill and enjoy with fish and chips.

Pinot Gris food pairings: sautéed scallops, avocado and papaya salad, basil pesto, zucchini and red onion frittata, cedar-planked pork loin.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a rich, creamy Pinot Gris from California’s Russian River Valley appellation. Layers of floral, tangerine, white peach, white grapefruit and whispers of nuttiness harmoniously emerged in the bouquet and on the textured, medium bodied palate. Ample acidity, too. On the long finish, stone fruit and coy nutty characteristics stole centre stage. Overall, this is a stylish creation from MacMurray Estate. Enjoy.

Macmurray Ranch 2017 Pinot Gris is a dry and refreshing PG with lemony, ripe pear and sweet baking spice flavours that just go on and on the plate. Perfect chilled and poured with roast chicken. From the Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California, this wine is created by Tasmanian native, Susan Doyle, who has created many fruit-forward, aromatic wines in Australia's Yarra Valley. The ranch belonged to Fred MacMurray, who starred in movies, Double Indemnity, The absent-minded professor (loved that one) and The Caine Mutiny. - Community Wine Reviews
