This wine gets better every year! Fleshy blackberry, plum, pencil led and violets on the nose with racy acidity. Full-bodied, smooth and luscious. The DOC of Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza was created in 1989 to protect the Malbec grape. The vines are planted at 960 metres above sea level. The vineyard is 90 years old. The wine was aged for 14 months in oak barrels. Decant 1 hour and pair with grilled meats.

Malbec food pairings: grilled lamb, Mediterranean roast of pork, grilled sausages.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tart subtle blackberry and rich red skinned plum with an appealing amount of red fruit. Bright red cherries on the tongue with a touch of baking spice and vanilla on the medium bodied finish. Smooth and well rounded with rich velvety tannins and a clean flavourful finish. Pour alongside pork chops and grilled chicken.
A richly concentrated Argentine red wine made from the country's classic Malbec grape. Juicy, full-bodied and generous with luscious aromas of dark berries, black plums and dark spice. Pair with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews
