Loimer 2022 Grüner Veltliner is produced from grapes sourced from the Kamptal wine region. Expect a dry, medium-bodied and zesty Old Vines Grüner with pink grapefruit, fresh Honeycrisp apple, soft citrus flavours lithe and vibrant on the palate with a white pepper spice finish. Predominantly fermented and aged in large stainless tanks (5% in neutral oak barrels), the wine rested four months on its lees prior to blending and bottling. Carrying on his family's winemaking tradition, Fred Loimer studied oenology at Austria’s Klosterneuburg University before gaining valuable work experience in Nahe, Germany, and the Napa Valley. He took over the winery from his father in 1997.
