A spectacular wine, let alone for this price. Get yourself a case or two if you love juicy, full-bodied reds with racy, spicy dark red fruit, cedar notes and long-lasting pleasure. This wine would complement so much hearty meat dishes. Chapoutier is a true master.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is a fantastic wine at a fantastic price. The blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah opens with a beautiful purple color in the glass. Spicy plums and pepper greet the nose. And on the palate well balanced dark fruits, licorice and spice makes for a great wine that will go well with lamb, steak, and ripe cheese. One of the best values at your nearest wine store.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2011 vintage is showing ruby red. This wine has dense aromatics including dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of raspberry. On the palate, I tasted cherry, blackberry, lavender, spicy black pepper and a hint of anise. Full-bodied, medium plus tannins, chewy mouth feel with a persistence of black pepper, blackberry. Tasted 2011 vintage after decanting 2h in February 2018. 90 points.
