This Brunello has many years ahead of it, unless of course, you can't resist drinking it. A DOCG wine that has such lovely replays of flavour across the palate, including coffee, spice, mocha and dark berry. This robust red wine cries out for a hearty meat dish. Listen to this wine and you'll have a terrific meal!

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Tuscany, Italy, this Brunello has a complex nose with tea, fruitcake and dried fruit. The rich palate gives fruitcake, plums, baking spices and leather. Dry, smooth, well-integrated and supple with an elegant finish. Enjoy with roast meats and long, leisurely meals.
Tasted July 2016
This Brunello Di Montalcino 2009 can still cellar for several years, but the problem is it is delicious now. A Tuscany DOCG that doesn't scrimp on fruit, full-bodied with lots of mouthfilling ripe red fruit, dark berries, coffee, sweet spice and mocha finish. Acidity is refreshing and tannins are still quite firm but more velvety than grippy. Complex and elegant -- if you do have it now pair it with something just as meaty -- prime rib comes to mind. -- Community Wine Reviews
