The Falanghina white wine grape is said to have its roots in Greece. but this dry, fresh and zesty Falanghina is produced from wine grapes sourced from the Sannio area in the Campania wine region. Zesty on the nose as well with citrus peel, white florals and ripe pear aromas. Look for ripe peach, mandarin, white florals tangy and spicy with a lingering fresh herb finish. Elegant and well-crafted. Pair with grilled chicken breasts.

Falanghina del Sannio food pairings: grilled chicken, roast duck, grilled seafood.

From the Campania wine region, La Fortezza Taburno 2018 Falanghina del Sannio is great value under $16. Produced by Enzo Rillo, I love the floral aromas mixed in with pink grapefruit, green pea, citrus and fine herb flavours on the palate. Wine grapes are sourced from the Sannio area, where the grapes flourish on hillside sites, maximizing critical sun exposure. Lovely and long, the wine finishes with a bit of pepper spice. Pair with calamari and sous vide octopus This vintage was awarded 2 Glasses out of 3 in the 2019 Gambero Rosso Italian Wines Guide. - Community Wine Reviews
