A robust, unfiltered Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre (GSM) red wine blend from the Côtes Du Rhône wine region. Produced by Stéphan Vedeau, third-generation winemaker from their, wine grapes are free of chemicals and pesticides and fertilizers are organic. Look for ripe red berry, blueberry and dried herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are grippy.

Food pairings: roast beef, smoked beef sammies with gravy, rib eye steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Cherry coloured in the glass. This GSM opens with a mild barnyard nose. The cherry and raspberry on the palate are followed up by a big, alcoholic, tannic finish. Serve with rib eye steaks, shepherd's pie, rack of lamb. Tasted April 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, raspberry, and cherry on the pleasant and ripe nose. No oak, all concrete in the production of this Grenache/Syrah/Mourvedre blend (60/30/10). Ripe and fresh fruit flavours with mouthwatering acidity and gentle tannins. A highly food-friendly red with value. Will do well with a wide range of grilled meats including chicken, pork, beef, and lamb.
La Ferme Du Mont Première Côte 2017 is a great value, medium-bodied Côtes Du Rhône red under $20. This is a robust and juicy red blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre aged mostly in tank. Look for ripe red berry, wild herb and earthy flavours on the palate finishing savoury and long. Enjoy now and for the next five years. Vedeau's wines are all organic, farmed without the use of chemicals, pesticides with the use of organic fertilizers. - Community Wine Reviews
