Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely dark purple with pronounced aroma of rich dark cherry, black currant, vanilla, chocolate and green pepper. Green pepper was more pronounced initially but lessened in intensity over time. Dry wine, juicy, full bodied and with a grippy tannin structure. Tastes are of green pepper, dark cherry, vanilla and a bit of smoke. Went well with mature hard cheese and grilled beef. Definite value for money.
from KWV, Cathedral Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon is a savoury, full-bodied cool climate red from the Western Cape W.O. Floral on the nose with cassis, dark plum, chocolate, and smoky, toast oak spice flavours vibrant on the palate. Pour with tourtiere or bison burgers from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews
