Coffee mocha aromas on the nose, but not too much. Tannic grip but that will smooth out with 1-2 hours decanting. Great value and taste for the money. Pair with grilled pork chops.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb Bolognese, grilled New York strip loin, hard cheese, braised pork shanks, veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Emmanuel Belanger rated this wine as 90/100
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely black fruit, backing spice and dark chocolate notes. Tannins are pronounced with balance acidity and a long ripe berry and mint finish. This wine is full bodied with a lush mouthfeel. A definite crowd pleaser! Pair with roasts. Tasted Dec 2015.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The 2013 vintage is deep ruby red, 14% abv. This wine is grippy and highly tannic with red and black fruit and medium acidity. Fresh blackberry, fresh raspberry, ripe plum, and secondary notes of cedar plank and savoury herbs. Long finish with persistence of blackberry and cedar. Recommend pairing with braised AAA pot roast or BBQ AAA beef tenderloin. Decant 2h. Enjoy 2016-2022. Tasted Dec 2015.
