Vintages Wine Panel: Vintage after vintage, the world-renowned Kim Crawford displays his winemaking prowess with Sauvignon Blanc. This version exhibits aromas such as gooseberry, asparagus, nettle, tomato leaf and citrus. My note: One of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc producers from New Zealand. This is a lovely white with herbal and green fuit aromas. Lively and vivacious. Closed with a screwcap, but opens with a smile. This wine is part of the Vintages Essentials Collection.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: monkfish with tomato and fresh herbs, steamed mussels.

Reviews and Ratings

Bella Mcdowell rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Kim Crawford 2008 Sauvignon Blanc pours a pale yellow and opens up with aromas of citrus and grass. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced with nice acidity. There are flavors of lime, grapefruit, and a hint of herb with a crisp, lively finish. This may be one of the best Sauvignon Blancs I have tasted from New Zealand and it’s hard to believe it is readily available for under $20. This is a great wine and would pair well with your summer salads and seafood dishes. Grab a bottle and enjoy it with a sunny afternoon…cheers!
Brad rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

a light, crisp and very clear wine, great aromas of apple and citrus fruit, flavours are green apples, pears and grass
