Lots of mouth-watering acidity on this vibrant, zesty South African white wine. This Chenin Blanc comes close to Sauvignon Blanc in style with nettle and gooseberry notes. Very pleasant South African Chenin Blanc with lots of body and character. Notes of white peach, golden apple and smoke.

Chenin Blanc food pairings: white fleshed fish, Greek salad, game, grilled pork, salmon tartare served on homemade crisps.

Reviews and Ratings

Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale straw. Brimming with ripe red apple, acacia and lemon aromas. Fantastic value for the price. Really lively on the palate, with lifted, juicy apple and acacia fruit, medium body and lifted finish. Really crisp and dangerously drinkable!
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pretty fruit flavour of peach, cantelope and orange blossom. Pretty summer sipper.
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

Deep golden color.

A nose of pear and pineapple.

This wine is crisp, rich and medium on the palate.

Pair it with pasta with Carbonara sauce.

Serve it at 10-12 degrees.

Enjoyable now.
This South African white wine is made from Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc grapes. The grapes are hand-picked and sustainably farmed, with no herbicides or pesticides. The vines average 37 years of age. This wine is barrel and tank-fermented then it's aged on its lees for 9 months to add more richness. - Community Wine Reviews
