Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Every now and again you come across a wine that you know will be a fan favourite for one reason or another. Josh Cellar's California Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those value priced gems. It delivers rich dark fruit, cacao, sweet vanilla and baking spices, and sells for only $17 CDN, making it one of the best value priced consumer friendly wines I've come across recently. Josh Cellar's Cab would be a great wedding/banquet/party wine as you can be guaranteed that when it's poured to a large group it will be loved by many. That's tough to do with wines twice that price. I'm recommending this as a buy by the (multiple) case wine. A great pick for your Tuesday (or Saturday) night wine, and would serve you well this BBQ season as it complements most foods you'll put on that grill. Tasted February 2016. 90+ points. Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of red and black fruit, oak and a bit of earth. The palate delivers rich cherry and plum notes with some spice, almond and vanilla flavors. A great value California Cab that will pair well with grilled meats or a well aged cheddar.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Shows ripe red berries on the nose and a yummy palate with cherries, strawberries, blackberries, slight mint and vegetal notes, vanilla, baking spices and oak. A very satisfying Cab Sauv with excellent value.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Surprisingly easy drinking for a Cabernet but with intense notes of red fruit and slight spice. The palate is light bodied, mild tannins and balance acid. Overall, a nice crowd friendly wine that is not a California Red Blend fruit bomb. Tastes Mar 2016.
This Californian red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes won a Double Gold Medal at the 2015 San Francisco International Wine Competition. Lots of black fruit and mocha on the nose. - Community Wine Reviews
