Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Riding on a good name, this doesn't disappoint, with lots of iron, red and black briar, savoury herbs and sweet earth. There's graphite on the finish and it's well worth pairing with slow-roasted meat dishes. 89 Points.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A lighter-bodied Rhone blend that is equal parts Syrah and Grenache. Floral and blueberry aromas with pepper and herb notes. Medium acidity and tannins with a long finish. Pair with savoury dishes or barbequed lamb and red meats. Decant or age for several years. Tasted January 2020.
From the Côtes Du Rhône, Rhône wine region, J.L. Chave`s Sélection Mon Coeur 2016 is bright ruby red in the glass. On the nose pronounced ripe cherry, berry liqueur and sweet spice aromas. This is a dry, full-bodied red with rich black raspberry, dark cherry, garrigue herbs, lavender and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are there but manageable. Lots of potential on the well-priced robust red that would also benefit from some time in cellar. Drink from 2019 on. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
