Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Dark fruit and spicy pepper nose, followed by dark fruit, dried berries, raisins, spice and tea on the palate. Very smooth, well-balanced, with terrific structure, smooth tannins and a silky finish.
Tasted Oct. 2016
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Rhone value at $22. Deep and dark aura with subtle earthiness and wet fisherman's sweater in the supporting cast. Cassis, blackcurrant leaf, dried red/black fruit, black pepper make the A list. Good refreshing acidity help with the youthful tannins. A couple of years in the cellar will bring some softness - or decant for 2+ hours if enjoyed today. Needs a nice cut of red meat or a rack of lamb.
Tasted: October 2016
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby fading to orange. Intriguing nose featuring barnyard aromas mingled with ripe raspberry and floral undertones. Quite a bold, dense style of Côtes du Rhône, with balanced acidity. While undeniably well-made, there is a lack of that southern Rhône generosity of fruit. The palate is very tightly knit and the tannins are quite muscular. Needs time to soften.
From the Vallée du Rhône in the Côtes du Rhône, Mon Coeur is black cherry, floral and liquorice spice on the nose and spicy on the palate at 14.5% alcohol. - Community Wine Reviews
