A lively, mouth-coating red wine blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from a consistently good producer. This vintage offers aromas of minty blackberry on the nose with fleshy black plum on the palate. Round, supple and satisfying with a great finish. Try it with gourmet hamburgers and all the fixings.

Shiraz Cabernet food pairings: pizza, hamburgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Donna Hargrove rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A surprising hint of mint on the nose, along with plum and blackberry. With a deep red colour, this Shiraz-Cab combines the best qualities from both - well rounded with hints of vanilla, mint and red fruit. Smooth long finish. Tasted May 3, 2016
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Jip Jip Rocks Shiraz Cab(55%-45%) has a spicy red fruit nose. The palate shows ripe red fruit, mint, vanilla, fresh green pepper and red plums. Dry with a long minty red fruit finish.
The 2013 vintage is an Australian red wine blend of 55% Shiraz and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The wine was matured in both new and used French and American oak barrels. The Jip Jip rocks are an outcrop of 350 million year old red granite near the family's vineyard in the heart of the Padthway region near Morambro Creek. - Community Wine Reviews
