Dry and vibrant with a mouthful of juicy red berries, dark chocolate, herb and savoury spice flavours weighty on the palate. Jip Jip Rocks 2017 60% Shiraz, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon red blend is a great value. The Jip Jip rocks are an outcrop of 350 million year old red granite near the family's vineyard in the heart of the Padthway region near Morambro Creek. Pair with a grilled New York striploin steak.

Shiraz Cabernet food pairings: pizza, hamburgers, lamb chop.

Reviews and Ratings

Michael rated this wine as 88/100
Jip Jip Rocks 2017 60% Shiraz, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon red blend from Padthaway, South Australia is great value under $20. So dark red, in the glass the wine is almost black. Fragrant with dark chocolate, crushed raspberries and basil on the nose. Dry, vibrant with ripe red berries, dark chocolate, savoury spice, basil and mint flavours, weighty on the palate. Exotic and tasty with chewy tannins. The wine was matured in both new and used French and American oak barrels. Hold or decant for one hour prior to pouring with a grilled kangaroo striploin. - Community Wine Reviews
