J. Lohr's Falcon's Perch Pinot Noir 2016 is a medium-plus-bodied mostly Pinot Noir with some Valdiguié added giving the wine a nice rounded feel in the mouth. Wine grapes are grown in select cool-climate vineyards within and surrounding the Arroyo Seco and Santa Lucia Highlands regions of central Monterey County. Falcon’s Perch is so named for the falcon which had made its home in the lone pine tree among the vines. There is ripe blackberry, chocolate and toasty oak on the nose with bright florals, cherry and strawberry flavours on the palate. J. Lohr Estates Falcon’s Perch experienced the warmest growing season in 17 years in California's Monterey County. With that there is still good acidity on the wine for food. Pair with roast turkey.

Pinot Noir food pairings: coffee-rubbed steak, duck, veal.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
