Campfire smoke and hickory aromas on this robust, tasty, smooth Californian Zinfandel. The grapes are grown sustainably. Pair with barbecued meats.

Zinfandel food pairings: gourmet burgers, meatlover's pizza topped with more steak, grilled sausages.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This Zin delivers all California offers in Zins at this price plus more. Coming from Lodi (my fave place for Zin) it offers loads of plummy fruit with a note of more of oak resin. The "more" I speak of is the spicy note that is present on the nose and the palate - often a characteristic of Italian Primitivo but sadly absent in Cali Zins. Enjoy the best of both worlds.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Big ripe red berry blend with cedar notes on the nose and palate with a long finish. Fruit forward, full bodied, tangy. Paired well with cedar plank salmon, and would pair well with sushi, teriyaki chicken or salmon, smoked baby back ribs, Thai red curry or enjoy on its own. Tasted 2015 vintage in August 2018. 91 points
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Smooth and smoky! Aromas of dark plum, cedar, smoke and leather. Full bodied, smooth and fruit forward on the palate, with some balancing acidity and a smoky finish. Enjoy with gourmet burgers or ribs.
Ivory & Burt 2015 is an elegant, dry and rich Zinfandel from Lodi, California. Look for ripe blackberry and baking spice flavours on the palate. Very approachable and enjoyable now. Pair with burgers from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews
