Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Iconic Canadian Icewine producer, Inniskillin, is world-renowned for their luxurious Icewines, and their sparkling Vidal Icewine is completely next level, a textural experience like no other! Their rich and refreshing Vidal Icewine is further enhanced by endless microbubbles producing arguably the most refreshing dessert wine on the planet. Honey, candied pears, stone fruit, and baking spice on the nose and palate, this sparkling Icewine is loaded with decadent flavours that complement any dessert imaginable from honey-lavender crème brûlée to vanilla mousse chocolate cake or your favourite take-out, whether that be sweet, spicy and crispy General Tso's chicken or a foie gras poutine - you'll enjoy them all with this incredibly food-friendly wine. Highly recommended. Tasted December 2020. 96 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Sparkling and Icewine... together...does it get any better than this? Rich, lemon and honey on the nose but light and fresh at the same time. The palate is a burst of fine, lively honey and peachy stone fruits. Nicely balanced there is a fine seam of acidity that keeps the sweetness from being cloying. This would make a truly unique gift for any wine lover. Enjoy the long, luxurious finish with dried fruits, blue cheese and salty nuts. Tasted October 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Such a unique and delicious twist on icewine! Aromas of honey, caramel, peach and lychee. Very well balanced, the bubbles are a fine mousse, and bring a lot of brightness to the wine, adding an extra element to the rich, luscious fruit and honey flavours and bright acidity on the palate. This is an exiting treat, a nice change from a traditional icewine and would be a great gift to surprise someone who has a taste for dessert wines. Would also pair nicely with a savoury cheese plate with dried fruit and nuts.
Inniskillin 2018 Sparkling Vidal Icewine is made in the Charmat or in tank Method. Delicate lift of baked apple pie, cinnamon, nutmeg and honey flavours, creamy and fresh on the palate. Vibrant acidity balances this lively bubble's sweetness. Chill and enjoy with fruit dumpling. - Community Wine Reviews
