Reviews and Ratings

Carola Price rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Clear and light gold. Nose of apple, pear and some spice box. Flavours of peach, butter, toast, some citrus with a medium long finish. Well balanced and a great example of well made Niagara Chardonnay that isn't too expensive. Enjoy with Mediterranean food because it stands up so well to the citric and garlic flavourings.
Drink now to 5 years. A great cellar candidate to judge further development.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This single vineyard Chardonnay from Four Mile Creek, presents aromas of vanilla custard, baked apples with cinnamon and caramel. Creamy, vanilla custard and toast on the palate. Pair with grilled chicken and cream sauce. Tasted July 24, 2016.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

From the acclaimed Montague Vineyard in the Four Mile Creek sub-appellation, this richly coloured Chardonnay shows ripe yellow apples, brioche, almond paste, and toast and lees. The palate shows apple, tart pear, chalky minerality with a nutty finish. Tasted July 2016. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Montague Vineyard is one of Niagara-on-the-Lake's oldest vineyards nestled in the heart of the Four Mile Creek sub-appellation, just slightly removed from the lake, and so the Chardonnay wine grapes feel the love and enjoy a warm microclimate for full and even ripening. - Community Wine Reviews
