Full and rich on the nose with plum compote and dark chocolate aromas. Dry, full-bodied with ripe dark fruit, savoury herbs, spicy with vibrant acidity for food. Tannins are velvety. Pair with a roast leg of lamb. The Hess Collection was founded in 1978 by Donald Hess, who is a Swiss entrepreneur and art collector.

Reviews and Ratings

Hess Select 2017 is a Cabernet Sauvignon-driven red wine blend with a smattering of Petit Sirah added. Look for ripe dark plum, violets, dark chocolate, smoky vanilla and spicy, toasty oak flavours on the palate. Full-bodied with smooth tannins and good acidity for food. Pair with a roast leg of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
