Natalie's Score: 90/100

A massive, towering wine with full-on flavour and character. This full-bodied Australian red wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which tend to offer more structure and balance than other red grapes. Finishes with smoke, dried herbs and fleshy black fruit. Decant for 1-2 hours. Pair with grilled ribs tonight.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled New York strip loin with chimichurri sauce, roast leg of lamb and root vegetables, barbecued pork spareribs, veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From Langhorne Creek in S Australia, this is another great Australian Cab Sauv. Dark garnet red with slow legs and a nose of ripe strawberry & vanilla. Yummy cassis jelly palate with refreshing mint and touch of cedar leads into a long minty berry finish. Sooo good!
The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this robust Australian red wine are grown in the cool climate region of the Lanhorne Creek. Finishes with dark spices and dried herbs. This in both full-bodied Australian red wine was aged in both French and American oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
