Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This wine is utterly bonkers for the price. The tarred blackberries and crushed black currants give way to smoked juniper, singed cedar and Kenya AA coffee. It’s boldly structured and doesn’t give an inch even though it’s 8 years old. Star anise, alderwood and cinnamon stick round out the finish. Pair with roasted and NOT grilled meats, the tannins are still too grippy to deal with char. Drink now through 2028. 94 Points.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Garnet core and tawny rim hint at the maturity of this meritage blend enhanced with Syrah. Floral, leather, and fresh earth intermingle with dried fruits on the nose. Big tannins relaxing with age. Dried fruits on the palate play nicely with some cocoa through the finish. Do a nice and simple beef roast with veggies and allow the wine to shine.
