Butterscotch and caramel on the nose, but not as full-bodied as expected on the palate -- more medium-bodied. Finished with toffee from oak aging.

Chardonnay food pairings: spinach and pepper jack stuffed chicken, scallops with a sesame ginger dressing, toasted ravioli served with Alfredo sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A very nice medium-bodied California Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley region of Sonoma. Intense caramel apple, butterscotch, buttered popcorn, herbs, vegetal. Rich and creamy texture with balanced acidity. The length is long with a delicious toffee finish. I would enjoy this as dessert with cheeses. Pairing could also include: roasted and stuffed turkey, chicken Kiev
Tasted: February 2015
This cool climate Californian Chardonnay is produced by winemaker Glenn Hugo who became a winemaker in 2003. Good acidity in Russian River Valley Chardonnay. - Community Wine Reviews
