Natalie's Score: 88/100

Toasted bread along with green apple aromas on the nose and palate of this classic Californian white wine made from the icon Chardonnay grape. Medium- to full-bodied and balanced. Very tasty. This Russian River Valley Chardonnay shows its cool-climate regions roots, with the grapes being whole cluster pressed to avoid bitterness and preserve fresh fruit notes. This Chardonnay undergoes a full malolactic fermentation to add richness and depth. Pair with veal chops.

Chardonnay food pairings: scallops, beef bourguignon, grilled chicken breast, veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings

This Chardonnay undergoes a full malolactic fermentation to add richness and depth. Pair with veal chops. This iconic Californian Chardonnay sources grapes from the cool-climate of Sonoma's Russian River. Finishes with toasty oak. The Frei family has been making wine for 126 years, starting in 1890 with Andrew Frei, who immigrated to California from Switzerland. The winery was owned by the Frei family until the late 1970s, then bought by the Gallo family. - Community Wine Reviews
