The 2013 vintage of this Californian Cabernet Sauvignon is made from Napa fruit grown in several vineyards. This is a robust blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remainder Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec grapes. The wine was aged for 2 years in oak barrels. A juicy full-bodied mouthful with mocha and dark chocolate and black fleshy plums. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: gourmet hamburger, braised short ribs, vegetable stew.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

This purple hued Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Napa Valley is beautifully complex and absolutely marvelous! A must buy for me! On the nose, it has loads of ripe blueberry and dark berry aromas, as well as jalapeno, violet, underwood, pot-pourri, and hints of vanilla and chocolate.

On the palate, it is full bodied and has structured tannins that are not overpowering, in fact they are perfectly balanced with the acidity and body of this wine. In terms of flavours, juicy blueberries, blackcurrant, hints of wood, subtle notes of black olives and cocoa at the finish. Wow!

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow, rich and complex flavours, huge structure, with loads of fine integrated tannins that will benefit from a couple hour decant or some medium term cellar aging. What a beauty this will be to enjoy over the next 5 - 15 years. Tasted February 2018. 92+ pts. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
