A well-made robust red with black fruit and mocha notes. Yes, this is from the producer of The Godfather and other box office hits. The winery is well worth a visit when you're in Napa next time. Pair with ghoulash and the movie Dracula.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: pork tenderloin, spaghetti with meatballs and sausage, roast lamb, game meats, slow-roasted beef.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The God Father of wine, perhaps! A great Cabernet from Sonoma California. Terrific fruit concentration, structure, and finish on this premium (yet value priced) California gem. Highly recommended and would suggest buying by the case! Fantastic product from the outstanding 2012 vintage. Tasted August 2015. 93 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A thick deep ruby red wine with a seductive essence of fresh black fruit, chocolate and a lingering prune finish. The quality in this velvet seduction tastes higher than the $35 price tag. Drinking nicely now but will reward you over the next 10 years. This director has another hit on his hands. Price performer.
Tasted: August 2015
