Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Rich, complex, inviting, and a chic look! Jammy plum, cassis, baking spice, vanilla, leather, and cocoa dominate the flavours. 'Claret' is the traditional British term for Bordeaux reds adopted by Coppola for this glorious wine. Enjoy this balanced, well-structured, full-bodied California red blend with braised lamb shanks. Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Flash back to the days of the California raisins! Rip open a box and inhale all the sweetness and sunshine. Perfect first whiff of this full-bodied red wine accompanied with some florals, cassis, vanilla and toasted oak. Tannins are softening with cleansing acidity that balances this fruit-driven wine. Solid price performer for this much complexity.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Gives ripe strawberries, blueberries, mint and vanilla on nose and palate. Full-bodied, dry, slightly tannic.

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full bodied, rich and complex. This wine has an abundance of dark fruit and lovely oak aging spice on the nose, flavors of cassis, dried blueberries, cranberries and anise. Well integrated tannins.
From California's Sonoma County, comes this Claret (2014) from Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection. "Claret" was a term originally used to identify the wines of Bordeaux. The Bordeaux blend in this wine is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot. The wine spent 12 months in French oak. - Community Wine Reviews
