Natalie's Score: 90/100

A classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc style with a mineral edge from barrel-fermenting the wine. The wine is clean grapefruit, lime, well-structured and balanced with zippy acidity. Chill it and pair with oysters Rockefeller. Grassy great vibrancy in this New Zealand white wine! This expressive Sauvignon Blanc has a pop of citrus flavour on the palate and finish. Lots of acidity. Pair with seafood.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: seafood stew, raw oysters on the shell, chilled steamed crab.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon-green colour with a zesty vibrant bouquet featuring pineapple skins, kiwi, orange blossoms, aloe vera and hints of dried coconuts. Flavours show pink grapefruit, yellow golden apples and sugar snap peas. High acidity is refreshingly balanced with a light cilantro herbal body and finish. A great pairing for dilll havarti cheese and herb crusted tilapia. 90 points - tasted March 2018
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted June 25, 2018. Colour medium yellow. Legs medium minus. Aromas and flavours of grapefruit, passion fruit, lemon lime. Taste, dry, fruity, light body, mouthwatering plus, medium alcohol. Finish medium grapefruit citrus. A nice easy drinking wine that we had with some young cheese before dinner. We liked this wine because it was big on taste and flavour. Paired nice with the cheese gave the wine a creamy taste. Crowd pleaser. Recommend a try.
