This is another gorgeous Flat Rock Pinot Noir! The Gravity 2015 is even better than the 2014, which itself was terrific. Aromas of ripe black cherry, and a pleasant slightly bitter zing at the back palate for balance, along with racy acidity. The winery uses the gentlest methods to press the grapes and make the wine via a gravity flow system rather than pumping (thus the name gravity on the label). Then the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. Medium ruby hue with cherry accents, polished tannins, silky smooth texture and medium bodied weight. Gorgeous cherry-berry aromas and flavours on the mid-palate. Then it finishes with black raspberry and vanilla toast. Try it with veal or grilled chicken.

Gorgeous layered and complex with great concentration. Ripe plum and cherry with graphite minerality. Medium bodied, fine tannins, great acidity. Pairs well with gourmet burgers, or carne asada tacos. Easily enjoyable without food as well. Tasted 2015 vintage in August 2018. 92 points

Broad and appealing nose, very much Burgundian in style, shows sour cherry, beet, vanilla, cinnamon, and French oak spices, briar and forest floor, and a faint suggestion of mineral. High acid, medium body, and impressive medium tannins. Structured for the mid to long term, but splendidly smooth and approachable at present. Calls for a goat cheese and beet salad or sandwich, seared or blackened tuna, or a chicken or rabbit dish with a creamy mustard sauce.
Fragrant with earthy florals, this Pinot Noir is smooth, rich with bright, dark cherry flavours, earthy tones and a loooong finish. Just a beautiful Pinot Noir from Flat Rock. - Community Wine Reviews
