White and green melon in this lovely vibrant Niagara Sauvignon Blanc. Love the lime citrus notes, not much grassy action here though lots of mouth-watering acidity for vegetarian dishes and shellfish. Lemon and gooseberry on this zesty, zingy white wine. Medium-bodied and refreshing.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: vegetarian dishes, shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Light straw colour with a gorgeous sweet boquet of exotic fruits, lemon drops, and just a touch of those Sauvignon Blanc herbal notes. A very nice expression from the small boutique Ontario winery, Featherstone. Only 277 cases produced making this quite a rare treat to enjoy this summer and fall. Enjoy with summer salads with grilled halloumi, spicy dishes, or grilled fish cakes with fruit chutney. Tasted July 2016. 89+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A lovely Ontario example of Sauvignon Blanc that has been produced in a small lot (277 cases). It is very fair, almost clear and exhibits guava, fresh grass and lemon grass on the nose. It is a crisp, tart Sauv. providing flavours of guava, lemon and gooseberry. It ends with a medium to long finish that replays the fruit and crisp flavours.

It is pleasant, well made - serve with grilled swordfish or shark steaks.

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Lemon with a hint of grass but not varietally indicative of Sauvignon Blanc. There was some lychee and tropical sweetness and orange peel on the nose. Palate was a little more herbal and familiar. Good amount of fresh acidity.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A Sauvignon Blanc with a noticably deeper golden appearance than most but boasts a vibrant nose and lively acidity. The vegetal notes are subdued and this Sauv Bl is more citrus, floral and tropical fruit forward (passion fruit, star fruit). There is also a nice honeyed lemon note in the finish. Enjoy this refreshing wine with seared scallops and shrimps. Patio white! Tasted May 2016 - @sommsosa @bespoketastings
