Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Garnet colour and the nose screams with rustic notes, including dried dark fruit, leather, herbs, and cigar box. Remarkably smooth and well polished for a 2008 (Brunello’s often show best after 10+ years), this is in its drinking window but would age gracefully for another 10 years. 90+ points. Tasted March 2015. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Garnet colour. This red wine has a nose of maturity. Dried cherry, black plum, leather, prune, sweet cigar. The palate repeats with added violets, tar, earth, cinnamon, dried basil. Smooth and a long warm spice finish. Drinking gracefully now but has the potential for further ageing.
Tasted: April 2015
The 2008 vintage of the Brunello di Montalcino is leaner than other vintages, but still very full of character. Dark fruit aromas with cigar box and a long finish. - Community Wine Reviews
