A lovely, youthful and mouth-watering 100% Cabernet France produced by Hervé Joyaux. Bright plum, dark raspberry, raspberry leaf and flinty flavours on the palate. Pair with grilled pepper steak or veal chops.

Cabernet Franc food pairings: veal chops, roast quail, vegetarian pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Surprised but delighted to see a single varietal Cabernet Franc coming out of Mendoza, Argentina, and into the Ontario, Canada market. This CF is a shade of dark purple. Bouquet leads with elegant oak and rich dark coffee, followed by fresh dark fruit, menthol, and gentle herbal suggestions. Firm acidity and tannins to go along with a full body. Perhaps a touch young, enjoy with goat cheese burgers in another year or two.
Fabre Montmayou 2016 Cabernet Franc Reserva is a medium-bodied and silky smooth Cab Franc fragrant with pink florals, ripe raspberry and spicy aromas on the nose, dry with crushed raspberry, fresh herbs, bell pepper and toasty flavours and on the palate produced from wine grapes sourced from Luján de Cuyo. - Community Wine Reviews
