Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow. I don't recall ever tasting a CF from Argentina. If this is typical of what that country can do with CF - watch out !! Perhaps the biggest richest CF that I've ever tried. Dark in the glass with aroma and flavour profiles more closely aligned with CS than CF. Lovely, unique affordable. Buy a few.
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep purple in colour, medium intensity nose, dry, medium bodied, balanced acidity, medium tannins. Initial mildly earthy aroma of wet stone, red fruit and a herbal note. Over time the fruit aroma included a stronger morello cherry note. Tastes of red fruit and cedar, with red fruit intensifying over time. This wine tasted noticeably sweeter with aged Orkney cheddar. Give this wine time to breathe and evolve and you will be rewarded.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark garnet colour showing red fruit, savoury & herbal mint, with green vegetal notes throughout and tart fruit finish.

Fabre Montmayou Reserva 2015 is a great value Cabernet Franc from Luján de Cuyo, Argentina. Dry, medium-bodied and silky smooth, lovey crushed raspberry here with fresh herbs, bell pepper and toasty flavours and on the palate. Produced by Hervé Joyaux. Pair with grilled pork chops. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
