A rich, full-bodied, tannic southern French red wine from the Rhone Valley with seductive aromas of cassis, black raspberry, pepper and dark spice. A supple texture and ample weight with a great finish. The wine region of Saint-Joseph is nestled in the northern Rhône, and it produces mostly wines made from 100% Syrah grapes, although winemakers are permitted to add up to 10% of Roussanne and Marsanne, both grapes in the blend to add a floral lift and brightness on the mid-palate.) Decant 2 hours. Pair with a grilled pepper steak.
