Cave De Tain's Esprit De Granit 2015 is a rich and full-bodied 100% Syrah red wine. Deep ruby in the glass, scented with ripe blueberry, spice and smoky aromas, this Syrah has ripe black raspberry, blueberry, earthy florals and cake spice flavours on the palate. Vibrant acidity for food. Decant 2 hours prior to pouring with a grilled pepper steak. The vines for this robust French red wine are planted in granite terraces on the Rhône River's western banks. The wine was matured 14 months in 50% new French oak barrels and was not fined or filtered.

Food pairings: rich lamb, beef stroganoff, barbecued ribs, fruit chutneys, cassoulet, steak fajitas.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
