A single-vineyard Shiraz from the Barossa Valley in South Australia produced from 120-year-old vines. Big and bold with a ton of ripe, tarry dark fruit, cake spice and dark chocolate flavours on the palate finishing with a smoky kiss. Excellent now and for the next 15 years.

Shiraz food pairings: beef prosciutto, black bean soup, blue cheese, lamb shank.

Reviews and Ratings

Jay Denney rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

The crowd favourite at YOWine's Syrah / Shiraz event and for good reason. This wine is a great example of why top-tier Barossa is right up there with Cornas and Cote-Rotie as the premier Syrah / Shiraz regions on the planet.

A beautiful nose of jam, ripe berries and leather, with much of the same on the palate. The tannins make their presence known but don't steal the limelight from the lush Barossa fruit.
Elderton Command 2015 Shiraz is a rich and luscious Barossa Shiraz, crafted from hand-harvested wine grapes. Perfumed blackberry aromas on the nose, full-bodied, rich and supple with vanilla and savoury spice flavours on the palate. This vintage was aged 30 months in French and American oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
